COUNSELLING

Christine Williams has worked in training and facilitation since the late 1980s when she worked in the Health Authority. Her primary focus for many years was the establishment and development of new services.  She has given many papers, both nationally and internationally on ‘the effective provision of services in rural areas’.

She established her own independent training consultancy twenty five years ago. She designs and provides courses and facilitation for organisations in the statutory, voluntary and private sector. Many of her courses include the particular issues of Housing Associations.

Christine is an associate training consultant with Coping Strategies Consultancy, Edinburgh, and has designed and provided training courses for managers on behalf of the School of Management and the Social Enterprise Institute, Heriot Watt University, Edinburgh.

Of particular interest to her is optimum staff development within organisations. Enlightened managers perceive good staff development as the wise investment it is.

Staff members encouraged to think for themselves, who feel respected and supported within their work environment, will help the organisation flourish.  She is particularly concerned with the issues of Lone Working.

Even better management is the philosophy underpinning the courses and facilitation provided by EGL Training Consultancy.

Christine is a specialist in the field of problem substance use.

Each contract is viewed as a unique association.

Courses and facilitation can also be provided through the medium of Welsh.
